Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Because of the sensitive nature of this community, we collect as little as possible and are deliberate about what we show. This page explains what we hold, why we hold it, the legal grounds we rely on, and the rights you have over your data.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller for Pink Flamingo is [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], registered at [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. Our representative in the European Union for data-protection matters is [EU REPRESENTATIVE]. For any privacy question or request you can reach us at hello@pinkflamingo.club.
Information we collect
- Account details — your email, username, profile type, country, and the birth dates you enter to confirm every partner is an adult.
- Profile details you choose to share— optional fields such as sexual orientation, desires, interests and city. Orientation is sensitive data: you decide whether to state it, and anything you state (other than “Prefer not to say”) is shown on your public profile until you clear it in your profile settings.
- Content — the photos and text you upload, and their visibility settings. Photos may be sexual in nature, which is also sensitive data.
- Technical data — limited logs needed to keep the service secure and prevent abuse. When bot protection is enabled, your IP address is shared with our anti-abuse provider to verify you are a real person.
Special-category data
Information about your sexual orientation and lifestyle, and any sexual imagery you upload, are “special-category” data under EU and Turkish data-protection law. We only process this information on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give when you create your account and each time you choose to add such details. You are never required to provide it, and you can remove it at any time.
Why we are allowed to process your data
We rely on the following legal bases:
- Explicit consent — for special-category data such as your stated orientation, lifestyle and sexual imagery.
- Performance of a contract — to create and run your account, authenticate you, and deliver the core features of the service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests — to keep the community safe, moderate content, prevent fraud and abuse, and secure our systems.
- Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information to comply with the law or respond to lawful requests.
How we use it
We use your information to operate the service: to authenticate you, to show your profile to the people you choose, to moderate content, and to protect members from abuse. We do not sell your personal data.
Who can see your content
You control the visibility of every photo. Public photos may appear to signed-out visitors on our landing page; members-only and private album content is shown only to the people you grant access to. Direct-message photos are private and expire. Profile details you choose to share (including orientation, desires and interests) appear on your public profile and in browse results, which signed-out visitors can also see.
Service providers we share data with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that make the platform work, and only to the extent each provider needs to do its job:
- Email delivery — an SMTP email provider sends transactional messages such as verification and password-reset emails.
- Media storage — an S3-compatible object-storage provider holds the photos and videos you upload.
- Push notifications — a web-push service delivers the browser notifications you opt into.
- Bot protection — Cloudflare Turnstile checks that sign-in and sign-up attempts come from real people. It receives your IP address as part of this check.
International transfers
Some of these providers, and the servers that store your data, may be located outside the country where you live — including outside the European Union or Turkey. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or a provider’s adequacy status, to protect your data in line with applicable law.
How long we keep your data
- Account and profile data — kept for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account we hard-delete your user record and the media stored for it; the deletion is immediate and has no grace period.
- Expiring and vanishing content — direct-message photos and videos that are set to expire are removed by a scheduled cleanup job once they pass their expiry, and the underlying files are deleted from storage.
- Security tokens — expired email tokens and revoked sign-in tokens are pruned automatically after they are no longer needed.
- Safety and moderation records — reports, moderation decisions and related safety records may be kept longer than your account, so that we can enforce our rules, respond to abuse, and meet legal obligations. We keep these only as long as they remain necessary for those purposes.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights over your personal data:
- Access — ask for a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Rectification — correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data, which you can also do yourself by deleting your account.
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data.
- Portability — receive your data in a portable format.
- Objection — object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent — withdraw any consent you have given, at any time, without affecting processing that already took place.
- Complaint — lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact hello@pinkflamingo.club.
Consent and how to withdraw it
When you register you accept this Privacy Policy and our Terms, and we record the version you agreed to and when. You can withdraw your consent for special-category data at any time by clearing those details in your profile settings, and you can withdraw consent entirely by deleting your account, which removes your profile and associated media from our active systems. For any other data request, contact hello@pinkflamingo.club.
